We hope you are enjoying this change in season. We have now moved into the Wurundjeri season of the Poorneet (tadpole) – a gestational season. Have you noticed the air is slightly warmer? Checkout the river/creek near you and see if you can spy the little tailed poorneets (tadpoles) there should be loads of them. The wattles and flax lilies are flowering and the smell of spring is all around. You may also have heard the many different calls of the pied currawongs. They are along Steele Creek at the moment. Some black cockatoos passed through the other day – they were enormous.
If you are keen to spend some time connecting with the environment, you may be interested in our upcoming River Sensing session on Sunday 28th September. This happens to also be World Rivers Day. So a perfect opportunity to connect with our lovely river and pay attention differently
