Friends of Emu Bottom Wetlands Reserve
Friends of Emu Bottom Wetlands Reserve has been working for the last 28 years to restore the natural values of this Reserve by removing weeds and planting indigenous vegetation. Starting from just 17 mature trees we have achieved the beautiful area which is now natural habitat for platypus and many other species of animals and birds, as well as a popular area for passive recreation. We have now extended our activities to the erstwhile farmland south of the Reserve and are rapidly transforming it with a similar aim. We welcome volunteers to help us, including newcomers to the area who want to become part of an active environmental group.
